Over the course of several years, Radiant Heart developed a proprietary technique to expertly capture a small area of fur from your pet. The captured fur is exactly as it appears on your pet. This technique allows us to save specific fur patterns as well as the feel of your pet’s fur.
This is not a pelt collection — your pet’s skin is not cut or otherwise harmed.
We isolate a section of fur, hold it in place using a special tape, and then remove the fur from the pet by carefully cutting the base of the fur with a professional grooming tool. The base of the fur is then adhered to a mesh fabric using a clear silicone rubber. Once the silicone is set, the tape is carefully removed, the fur capture is trimmed and then attached to card stock with glue dots.
This is a wonderful alternative (or addition) to our traditional fur clipping service, and it is a unique and meaningful way to remember your pet.
