Radiant Heart is constantly on the look-out for exceptional artists who create exceptional urns that appeal to the sensitivities of our clients — namely urns that are works of art and that don’t necessarily look like urns, and urns that are created from natural or reclaimed materials.
The Tropical Wood River Stone Urn is just such a find. What a wonderful idea…an urn carved from gorgeous wood, carefully crafted into the shape of a natural river rock.
Created in Central America by a female artist. Her notes:
“Made of tropical wood, a natural and strong material that is hard enough to last forever, yet in contact with elements of nature, is soft enough to naturally degrade. As the main designer, I put my heart into creating a piece that would revere the intimate bond we share with our loved ones, and was inspired by river stones, which I consider instinctively caressing elements of nature.”
WOODS: African mahogany, Mahogany, Crabwood, Teak. Kiln dried. Designed for indoor use. Urn will biodegrade when exposed to heat, water, etc.

OPENING SYSTEM: A wooden threaded closure is located on a flat area at the base of the urn. The lid is opened and closed with a wooden key which is made of a hard wood to withstand applied pressure at opening. The diameter of the opening differs with each urn.
FINISH: To guarantee a natural product, each piece is finished with beeswax, carnauba wax and natural oils.
WOOD GRAIN COLOR AND SHAPE: Although the urn has a specific shape, the hand-sanding process, wood density, grain, and color vary even within the same species, making each urn unique; the photos are a reference of what the final product will look like. Over time, wood naturally darkens.
