Among the most cherished is our Fur Capture™—a one-of-a-kind keepsake invented and perfected by Radiant Heart.

Unlike a traditional fur clipping, a Fur Capture carefully preserves your pet’s coat exactly as it naturally grew, creating a lasting and deeply personal remembrance.

Until recently, these memorials were available only to families who could bring their pet to our Bellingham, Washington facility shortly after passing. Because a Fur Capture must be created before cremation, transportation restrictions for deceased pets made this impossible for most families living outside the Pacific Northwest.

Today, Radiant Heart can work directly with your local pet cremation provider, veterinary hospital, animal hospice professional, funeral home, or even a trusted friend or family member to create a beautiful Fur Capture—no matter where you live.

How It Works

1. Tell Us About Your Pet

We’ll discuss your pet’s breed, coat type, fur length, and the areas of the body from which you’d like the fur preserved. This allows us to customize your training and supply kit for the best possible results.

2. We Ship Your Customized Training Kit

Choose the option that works best for you.

Option A – Complete Supply Kit

Everything needed to create and finish the Fur Capture locally, including:

• Clippers
• Tape
• Wax paper
• Embroidery hoop
• Nylon fabric
• Two-part silicone
• Mixing cups
• Stir sticks
• Additional finishing supplies

Option B – Capture Kit + Professional Finishing

We provide everything needed to collect the Fur Capture, along with a prepaid return shipping box. Once the fur (removed from your pet but still attached to the tape) is safely returned to Radiant Heart, we complete the memorial for you.

3. Schedule Your Private Training Session

When the kit arrives, simply contact us to schedule your personalized video conference.

4. Learn Side-by-Side with a Radiant Heart Specialist

During your private training session, we’ll create a Fur Capture together in real time.

Because we can watch your technique as you work, we’re able to provide immediate coaching, corrections, and helpful tips throughout the process. Our goal is to help you achieve the highest-quality memorial possible while ensuring your pet’s fur is handled with the utmost care.

5. Choose How Your Memorial Is Completed

Once the initial fur capture has been collected, you have two options:

• Finish the memorial locally using the supplies included in your kit.
• Return the collected fur to Radiant Heart using the prepaid shipping materials, and we’ll professionally complete the Fur Capture for you.
