Horse Hair Raku Pet Urn

The artist’s process: The base urn is thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand burnished. Several layers of terra sigillata are then applied and buffed to a high shine. The piece is then fired; horse hair is then placed on the piece when it’s red hot leaving a carbon imprint of the hair behind.

Appropriate for a pet up to 50 lbs, or as a keepsake urn for a larger pet.
